Residential Painters Wanted - Compensation: $9.00-9.50/hr in La Grande, Oregon

 
We paint the exterior of homes so this requires manual labor. Your own transportation is also required. We are looking to hire immediately for the La Grande/Pendleton/Hermiston OR area. All applicants that feel they fit the ideal candidate listed below are encouraged to apply.
 
 REQUIREMENTS:
 * No previous experience required, employer will train you.
 * Valid driver license to operate your own vehicle to perform work related duties.
 * Willing to work outdoors in hot weather.
 * No fear of heights (maneuver and climb ladders at second story homes).
 
 PREFERRED:
 * Prior residential prep and painting experience.
 * Manual labor experience.
 
 JOB DUTIES:
 * Apply adhesives.
 * Apply cleaning solvents.
 * Finish and trim work.
 * Maneuver heavy objects.
 * Operate airless spray paint equipment.
 * Prepare surfaces to paint.
 * Mask or cover structures.
 * Use pressure washing equipment.
 * Clean up.
 * Follow hazardous material safety procedures.
 * Follow all safety procedures.
 * Power wash exterior walls.
 * Climb ladders at second story homes to prep and paint.
 * Scrape, sand, and prime exterior siding.
 
 ***Must be willing to go door to door at the end of the work day around the areas we are painting to ask potential customers if they would be interested in a free estimate for painting services. (4 hours per week, commission based pay)***
 
 HOURS:
 * Typically work Monday through Thursday (10 hour days)
 * Available to work some Fridays and weekends (depends on work load).
 * Position will last until the middle of September, xxxx.
 
 
 WAGE:
*$9.00 per hour depending on efficiency, plus production bonus at the end of the painting season.
 
This is a fun and challenging position that is ideal for someone wanting to get hands on experience in project management while working outdoors with other like-minded individuals and earning a good hourly wage. Training is provided, so no experience is necessary. The ideal individual is competitive, hardworking and able to communicate effectively and be organized.
 
Those found with leadership experience may be selected from the interview process as a job site manager, in which you will have the opportunity to get hands on experience in leading your own crew of several employees and receive greater an increase in pay.
